PROFILE

Visual artist and founder of Studio Superfluo (Amsterdam, 2023). My practice centres on textile as a spatial and perceptual medium, working with hand-tufted wall pieces, tapestries, covered objects and installations. Colour, pattern, and material density serve as structural forces to construct immersive environments that alter how space is experienced. My work builds on over a decade of industrial textile design at an international level. It has been exhibited at art fairs and galleries in the Netherlands, France, and Italy and featured in international publications.

SELECTED TESTIMONIALS & PRESS

"Her work displays an enormous creative power in the way she combines material, technique and colour. The monumental scale of her textiles makes them even more impressive. In her presentation and communication, Francesca shows a high level of professionalism, which enforces the quality of her approach."

Anne van der Zwaag, Director, Object Rotterdam & BIG ART, 2026

"What particularly impressed me about her work was the strength of her visual language: bold, graphic colours combined with a distinctive contemporary approach that stood in striking contrast to more traditional rugs. Her piece brought a strong personality to the exhibition and contributed significantly to its dynamic atmosphere."

Francesco Pirrello, Founder, Carpet Diem Paris, 2026

"Francesca Franceschi's work pulsates to the rhythms of life lived to the full. Having forged a career in fashion, she has recently turned to tufting and tapestry."

COVER Magazine, 2026, double-page feature

"A personal and recognisable visual language, capable of transforming textile into a psychological and emotional surface."
